Navy Veteran

If you were a Navy veteran and have been diagnosed with lung cancer or mesothelioma we can help you get the VA benefits that you deserve. Veterans Assistance Network has worked with Navy mesothelioma cases since its inception. Our volunteers work with each veteran one on one to ensure that no stone is left unturned. Many Navy Veterans were exposed to asbestos while working below deck duties on their ships. Working in and around boiler and engine rooms exposed these sailors to untold amounts of asbestos. Given the latency period of mesothelioma and lung cancer (between 30-50 years) many navy veterans are only now being diagnosed with these conditions. Our trained volunteers are very familiar with how the VA rates disabilities and we pride ourselves on our skill in navigating VA claims for each Navy veteran.

Our elite group of volunteers work hard, at no cost to the Navy veteran, to make sure that every sailor is given the VA benefit rating and compensation that they deserve. Unfortunately, many people do not realize that they are entitled to recover VA benefits from their asbestos exposure while in the Navy. Tragically, these veterans either never apply for benefits or quickly go away after a denial of benefits from the VA hospital. Our goal is two fold, to educate the asbestos exposed veteran to his or her rights, and to enforce those rights against a VA system that often appears to be set up to categorically deny every claim put before it.

Navy Veterans who develop mesothelioma or other asbestos related conditions will benefit greatly from our knowledge of the VA system. Our volunteers (comprised completely of veterans) helps walk you through the necessary leg work in order to maximize your chances of getting approved for full benefits. We also help you get in contact with a Veterans Service Officer who can help you with the appeals process if a mesothelioma victim has been denied benefits.

We are a nationally recognized veteran advocates group. If you are a navy veteran and have developed mesothelioma or other asbestos related conditions, call us today. Our service is 100% free and our advocates are always happy to help.
